Global Voices is seeking an experienced and motivated individual with excellent managerial and communication skills to join our Executive Team as our new Chief Executive Officer. Global Voices manages and coordinates 8 – 10 international delegations every year, around half of which are focused on economics, development and finance, and the others which are focused on environment and sustainability issues. These include the World Bank & IMF Meetings, the OECD, the G20, the United Nations Conference of Parties (COP), the Manama Dialogue, and the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
The role will involve leading a team of six direct reports, overseeing the organisation’s budget, financial management and governance, reporting to the Board of Directors, guiding the strategic direction of the organisation, overseeing the organisation’s ongoing international and domestic activities, and building relationships with stakeholders and partners.
The ideal candidate will have a work/study background in international relations/political science or business and economics, and demonstrate a keen interest in foreign policy and diplomacy. This position is Melbourne-based and requires the commitment of a minimum of one day per week in our CBD office.
