ECOSOC Delegate: Amy Plant

Amy Plant will be attending ECOSOC with Global Voices in New York. She has a background in not-for-profit project management, having worked for eight years in Western Australia with FORM. FORM is a non-profit cultural organisation working with interdisciplinary creative teams to deliver creative arts projects. After finishing up at FORM, Amy moved to Mackay in North Queensland to study a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Business at Central Queensland University.

Amy is interested in non-profit arts sector policy after the recent controversy with Creative Arts funding. She is particular interested in how policy guides the development of particular creative programs.

As part of the Global Voices Research Fellowship Amy will evaluate strategies to preserve and showcase Indigenous intangible cultural heritage materials.

Y20 Delegate Rachael Stock Profiled in Morning Bulletin

Rachael Stock has been profiled in the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin. In the article she discusses her excitement as the Y20 Summit approaches, she is quoted:

“This Global Voices opportunity for me means having the chance to engage with policy makers and other delegates on issues that will shape our region, nation and even the world in the coming years and decades. Once I finish my degrees I am keen to pursue professional admission through further study, and will look to use the opportunity to build a professional network across a broad range of areas.”
