Updated: Jun 11

The Global Voices Executive Team is delighted to announce the appointment of the Semester One 2024 Global Voices Fellows.

  • Singithi Herath, Stefan Hofmann and Wenyu Cao will attend the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva.

  • Mark Netto, Anna Kalamkarian and Sadiya Ismail will attend the Higher Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York.

  • Lastly, Nicholas Drew, Amy Tan, Elina Forsyth and Robert Haca will attend the Y20 in Rio De Janeiro.

A group of impressive young Australians is gearing up to embark on their journey through the Global Voices Fellowship program. Designed for individuals aged 18-30, this initiative aims to provide them with invaluable experience in policymaking and international diplomacy. Fellows will gain unparalleled experience through:

  • Participation in a three-day pre-departure briefing and skills-building session in Canberra.

  • Attendance at an international conference, engaging in global discussions on key issues.

  • Crafting a 2,500-word policy proposal based on their experiences and learnings.

The Semester One Fellows will join a network of over 350 alumni who have participated in more than 100 international summits since the establishment of Global Voices in 2011.

As part of the announcement, Global Voices’ Chief Executive Officer, Elly Hanrahan stated, “We were incredibly impressed with this year’s Semester One cohort. At Global Voices, we’re excited to provide these young leaders with an opportunity to increase their skills and understanding about policy as a vehicle for positive change.”
