Don't come from a social science or foreign policy background? You can still apply.
We encourage students and young people from a wide range of disciplinary programs to apply for a Global Voices Scholarship. Pharmacists, social scientists, paramedics, engineers, economists and journalists have all come through our program, as long as you have a passion for creating change, you can apply for the program!
Global Voices Scholars attend an international summit as part of a larger delegation. The term 'scholar' and 'delegate' are used interchangeably in the program
Applicants are required to submit a personal statement and research proposal to be considered for a Global Voices Scholarship. Suggested research areas are made available during the application period and are to be used as a guide.
We undertake a 'blind' recruitment process where names and details like gender and age are removed from each application. We assess candidates on the content of their research proposal and the quality of their policy recommendations. We are looking for young people with a demonstrated interest in global issues, an ambitious spirit and the ability to effectively communicate their ideas with the world.
Shortlisted candidates are also required to undertake an interview with members of the Executive Team.
Application dates and timelines are outlined on the 'Apply' page.
