IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings

Washington D.C, USA | 13 - 19 October 2019

QUT Business School is supporting a scholarship to attend the 2019 IMF & World Bank Annual Meetings. The Scholarship Program includes attendance at both a domestic and international delegation, as well as private meetings with subject matter and policy experts, esteemed academics, Commonwealth Government Departmental Secretaries, Members of the Australian Parliament, and leaders of civil-society and private organisations.

The Scholarship Program consists of three components:

  • Canberra Pre-Departure Briefings program

  • Participation in the Global Voices Policy Fellowship

  • Attendance at the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings

The Policy Fellowship allows the successful applicant to develop research, analysis and policy-writing skills through developing a policy paper related to the delegation agenda. Your paper will include specific recommendations for domestic policy application.

The scholarship place is fully funded and includes all domestic and international flights, accommodation, breakfasts, visas, insurance, and registration fees.

The Scholarship is ideal for students with an interest in economics and trade, international relations and business. The Program has a strong international element so we encourage young Australians with a global perspective to apply.

The Global Voices Scholarship is open to all QUT Business School students.

Candidates must also be:

  • Aged 18 to 30 years
