2019 Youth 20 (Y20) Summit

Japan | 26 - 30 May 2019

The University of New South Wales Co-op Program is supporting a Global Voices Scholarship for a student to represent Australia at the 2019 Y20 Summit. The Scholarship Program includes attendance at both a domestic and international delegation, as well as private meetings with subject matter and policy experts, esteemed academics, Commonwealth Government Departmental Secretaries, Members of the Australian Parliament, and leaders of civil-society and private organisations.

Scholarship Program Components

  • Global Voices Research Fellowship

  • Canberra Pre-Departure Briefings Program

  • Attendance at the 2019 Y20 Summit.

The Research Fellowship allows the successful applicant to develop research, analysis and policy-writing skills through developing a policy paper related to the delegation agenda. Your policy paper will include specific recommendations for domestic policy application.

The Scholarship is ideal for students with an interest in public policy, global trends, youth issues, human rights and international development. The Program has a strong international element so we encourage young Australians with a global perspective to apply.

The Scholarship is fully funded and includes all domestic and international flights, accommodation, breakfasts, visas, insurance, and registration fees.
